Nazarene Christian School - Testimonials
We have been sending Elizabeth to Nazarene Christian School (NCS) for the past 4 years because we are convinced that it is the best available in Western North Carolina. There are three basic reasons for this belief. They are listed in ascending order of importance.
ACADEMICS: Elizabeth receives a high quality education at NCS. She has consistently scored high on the Stanford Achievement Test given at the end of each year.
STAFF: The staff at NCS are not only knowledgeable but reachable. They not only teach well, they listen well and relate well. While she has the proper respect for her teachers, Elizabeth also believes that each is her personal friend that she can count on in a time of need.
CHRIST CENTERED: This may be what NCS does best and what is most important to us. It is a result of both the curriculum taught and the staff that teaches it. When I tried to find Elizabeth's science book one day in third grade, I looked through all of her books and missed it. I went back slowly through the books and found it the second time. I missed it because I didn't expect the name of the science book to be "Exploring God's World." Science and all other subjects are being taught from a Biblical perspective and we appreciate that greatly. Elizabeth and all of the other children at NCS are developing a Biblical World View that will help them stay strong and close to God as they continue to grow and eventually leave the protected environment of the Christian school. We believe that it will be much more difficult for Satan to confuse her and lead her away from God because of the strong Biblical foundation and world view that are being developed at Nazarene Christian School.

This is my first year teaching at Nazarene Christian School. After teaching in public school, what attracted me to the Nazarene was that the students are in God's word EVERY day. God's word is taught and practiced on a daily basis.
The Nazarene is more than just a Christian school, but is a family who ministers to people in the school, church and community. My son is in 1st grade and he loves it here. He is growing closer to the Lord everyday while establishing new friendships. It has been exciting to see him get closer to God as he progresses academically.
The Nazarene Christian School is a safe, nurturing, fun and loving environment that I am glad to be a part of.
