
Pastor Doug is a gifted preacher/teacher with a passion to bring God’s Word to life for those near him. Pastor Doug has served in full-time ministry since
2004 and was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene on the N.C. District in 2008. He has earned degrees in Bible/Theology (B.A.) from John Wesley College
and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Apart from his classroom training, Pastor Doug served eight years in the U.S. Army & Army Reserves,
one of which he spent overseas in Iraq. As an avid mountain biker and trail runner, Pastor Doug feels right at home in the mountains of western N.C.

He and his wife Dawn have been married since 2000 and together they have two children. They both share a passion for Christ, for their family and for the Church.
